Q: When should I arrive and how long will my first visit take?
A: You should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out paperwork. Or you may have the paperwork mailed to you, you may pick it up at one of our offices, or go may go online before your initial visit. Then fill it out the form and turn it in at your appointment time.
Your first office visit will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Q: What should I bring for my first appointment?
A: You should bring your doctor's referral and insurance cards.
Q: How should I dress for my appointment?
A: You should wear comfortable clothing such as shorts or sweatpants and a t-shirt or tank top.
Q: Do I need a referral to be seen by a physical therapist?
A: Yes, if insurance is going to be billed you need a referral. We do accept cash payments for a limited number of visits. Our front office staff will be happy to inform you as to how the cash payment option will be handled.
Q: How many visits will I need?
A: Your insurance policy commonly dictates how many sessions are allowed in a year. Also, the number of visits may be determined by your doctor or the authorizing agent at the insurance company. From our perspective, the number of visits is influenced by how you are progressing.
Q: When should I return to the doctor?
A: You should return to the doctor as he or she directs, or after the requested number of visits to ept Rehabilitation is completed.
